Working in Mexico

The North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA signed by president Clinton has opened up tremendous opportunities for American stampers to source work to Canada and Mexico as well as world wide.  This outsourcing has and both advantages and disadvantages for American stampers, steel suppliers and workers on both sides of our boarders.  Juarez is a nice Mexican city and a good place to work.  I even recognize some of the dies I worked on from many American plants.

A Canadian built Blow press from the Bellefontaine, Ohio works of Siemens/ITE circuit breaker division.  It is in Juarez, Mexico producing many parts for the world market.
